The 2020 conference was to be hosted by the General Teaching Council of Scotland.

The conference program covered range of topics, including teacher education with professional engagement, codes of professionalism and conduct, promotion of the profession, teacher health and wellbeing, and alternative pathways to teaching.

Keynote speakers included Professor Graham Donaldson on Scottish Education in the Global Context, and Marc Seale, CEO Health and Care professions Council on changes to regulating healthcare professionals in the UK and lessons for regulating teachers.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the conference was cancelled.
